Happy New Year 2011 and catch up of 2010

Whew!  We made it through our first year as the Buckhead Ridge Crafters.  What a year it was.  It was my dream for many years to have such a group and it finally came true .......and looks like it will just keep on rolling. I am so pleased, and thank each and everyone of you for your support, contributions and participation.  It has been like a baby to me, and seeing it grow has been very rewarding.  Not a teacher, it is such fun to learn from each other, experiment with new ideas and make such great new friends.  Crafters are special people.

We succeeded in just finishing our 3rd craft fair.  The first under the umbrella as a committee within the Moose Lodge 2417.  A successful fundraiser for the lodge as well as a money maker for the crafters, we look forward to the next one on March 26th, 2011.  As I stated in a previous post.....the dining room is already completely sold out that day!  What a problem to have.

I need your input this year on this blog!  It is intended to share with all of you the things we have done.  Those not able to join us can keep up with what we are doing and those who had pictures of their work taken have a place to let their friends and family come to look at their work.  Please comment once in awhile and let me know that it is worth my time putting this together.  It will keep me motivated.

I'm finally listing some pics that should have been put up along time ago.   We have made scarecrows, pictures from dryer lint, swedish weaving of course, jacob's ladder weaving on t-shirts, bread dough flowers, painting for holiday shirts and individually worked hard to make items for the craft fair.

Tomorrow, January 5th we will be making an ivy vine swag from burnt brown bags.  Take a look at the sample, bet you can't tell it it from brown bags!

Thanks!  Any ideas?  I'm open to them.  Happy Crafting!    Bonnie

  3. To 'Anonymous'

Seriously??? You come onto this blog and then, without being asked, give advice on how to improve it!! One or 2 images? I count 18 on this page alone. Then I went to have a look at your blog and website and, in my opinion, you shouldn't be 'advising' anyone on how to improve theirs!! And then, to top it all off, you don't even have the integrity to sign your own name!! I think you need another hobby 'Anonymous'.
